Whats going on around me.
SO, its been a while since I have blogged. I just have better things to do I guess.
Here is an update of whats going on around me.
Kid #1 just had his 10th bday. Yes, 10th!
Me oh My, how time flies. He has joined his school choir. I am not sure why, he just felt like
it was something he wanted to do. So, he did. He has never really been a good singer but then again
I guess I have never really heard him sing. BUT, his dad put a microphone in front of him, turned on a song and
left the room. The results were quite interesting...he can actually sing. We will just have to see how he does
in front of an audience. He is also about to start another season of Jr. Jazz. His best friend is going to play this season
too so he is extra excited. Hmmm, what else...he has an addiction to computer games, Phines and Ferb and Hates spelling tests.
Kid #2 is in Hip-Hop. For any of you that know him, this is perfect for him. He already has a great head spin and does a funky version
of 'the worm'. He loves it and I can't wait to see him in action. He is also about to start Jr. Jazz. That will be so much fun for mom. (I say
sarcasticly) 2 different practices and 2 different games a week. Hopefully not at the same time. Kid #2 also loves playing outside with his friends, teasing his little
sister and making everyone laugh. He was baptized this year in February. It was great! When it came time for me to tell everyone about him, I made him
cry. He told me later that he could feel the tears coming and was trying his best not to let them fall but they did anyway. Awww, what a sweet moment.
Kid #3 is in an official Pre-school. We did Joy School last year. She mostly likes it. She has a hard time saying goodbye to mommy. "One more hug". Then
after 5 of those I have to tell her its time for me to go only to give her a couple more 'last hugs'. She does great though. She will defiantly be ready for
Kindergarten next year. She is very exited to go to the big school with her brothers. She also is busy going on walks with mommy, playing with her besty Emmy and
letting me know about everything she wants for her birthday.
Husband is busy as usual. Work, work, work. Actually, its not that bad, he is usually home on time and only works extra once in a while. He has started a new
routine of getting up early and working out. He has invited me to join him only to find me doubling over in laughter...as if I will EVER waste precious sleep to do
something like excersize. I get mine in later in the day. Anyway, he is going strong on the exersize thing and is eating better. Its great! Makes me wanna not eat
that extra cupcake. (I sometimes do anyway). He has also joined a chocolate society and has become a little bit of a chocolate snob. Fancy chocolate is his new Oreo.
To be eaten in moderation of course, hence the new eating better thing.
Then there is me. Nothing really new to report. Same ol same ol. I drive a lot. Take the boys to school, take the girl to school, pick up girl from school, drive to grocery store, pick up a boy from
school, pick up other boy after after school activity, upcoming drive to Jr. Jazz X2, etc. Good thing I love my car. Other than driving, I stay busy by going on jog/walks a few times a week, keep
up with the kids and house, try to get my volunteer hours in and all that other stuff that involves motherhood/life.
Well, there you have it. A kinda sorta update. Talk to you next year.

Stupid, stupid, stupid
So my husband has been out of town for the last couple of nights and last night after I put the kids to bed I decided it was time for me to relax and do my own thing. I love watching scary movies and since my husband is not a big fan, I rarely get to watch them. So last night, I figured my husband was gone so it was the perfect opportunity to catch up on some scary. So I decided to watch this
Usually movies dont scare me but about half way thru the movie I looked around, realized it was pitch black in the room and I was all alone (or was I). I was terrified. I quickly hit the pause button and ran to turn on all the lights. I went upstairs to check on my sleeping children and then decided I felt better so I finished the movie. After that, it was bedtime. I got ready for bed and turned off the lights and crawled in between the sheets... It hit me then how stupid I was. I watched a really creepy movie about people being abducted from there beds in the middle of the night. And here I was, all alone in my bed in the middle of the night. Guess who watched a couple hours of The Office and then proceded to sleep with her closet light on? Ya, me. I will never do that again!

Calling all Caramel recipies...
So I made Caramel's today. I made two batches. The first batch I am guessing that I overcooked (burnt) because it is now ROCK HARD and completely stuck to my 8x8 glass pan. I am not sure how I am gonna get that to come off. We will see.
My second batch taste delicious, only its a little runny...like, a lot runny. Like, sweetened condensed milk runny.
Anyone have any good Caramel recipies they could send my way? I would much appreciate it.

Happy New Year. You know how you usually count down from 10 and then when the clock changes to 12:00 you celebrate? This year we forgot... At 12:08 I remembered it was the New Year. I told Rydel Happy New Year, he said the same to me and then we kept watching House. We are party animals.

A birthday and a baptism
Happy 8th Birthday to kid #1!! My sweet little (big) boy had an exciting birthday. He got to go see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, go bowling and go on a treasure hunt.
Here he is at the bowling alley!
Kid #2's ghost after knocking down some pins.
Sweet kid #3 getting help with the heavy ball from her daddy.
Marshal's cool new toy from his Aunt Rosie.
The next weekend was his baptism. His grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends all showed up to support Kid #1 on his big day. We appreciate everyone who made it. Especially those who drove from far distances. Marshal (and his parents) felt very loved.

Denver
Denver for the 4th of July weekend was great! Rydel flew out earlier so the kiddos and I were alone for the flight. Our plane was delayed 2 1/2 hours and we had to circle Denver airport for an extra 45 minutes. So, when we finally arrived the kids were glad to get out and run around and I was exhausted. When we got there, we went to a BBQ with some people that my husband works with when he works in Denver. Yummy food...gotta love BBQ's.
The next day we walked about 3 miles to take the kid's to REI which has a rock climbing wall in it. Well, whatdoyaknow, after all that walking, the rock climbing wall was closed. So, we noticed the aquarium was just down the road so we walked just a little further. Here are some pics.
This is my 3 kiddos hanging out with the fishies.
Kid #1 and kid #2 checking out some sharks.
Kid #3 preparing to go diving.
That night we went to the Colorado Rockies Baseball game. It was great and the Rockies won. They were playing the Arizona Diamondbacks. The kids had a blast, even little Kid #3 loved it. Then after the game came the fireworks. If you know me, you know how much I love fireworks. The display was the best I have ever seen. Soooo good.
The three boys watching the game with a friend.
Little one watching the game with her daddy.
The next day was the zoo..
On Sunday, we thought we would be all spiritual and go to Elich Gardens. Its a theme park. The have tons of water rides and good roller coasters.
They boys on the mini swing ride.
The girls on the mini air balloon ride.
Little one on the carousel...isnt she beautiful!!!
On Monday, Rydel had to work so I took the kids to the movies and we saw Ice Age 3. Good movie, expensive theater. Never go to a theater in down town Denver...10.50 matinee prices. Ouch. Anyway, the trip was a blast and I have a feeling we will be doing it next 4th of July too!

blog
I cant think of anything to blog about. Ok, not really. I am sure that I have lots that I could blog about but I have been feeling lazy lately. So, I would rather blog about how I am too lazy to blog than write a real blog.

Two new babies...
For those of you who know Sandy and Pete Green...they had their baby boy yesterday.
He was born at 2:12pm and weighed 7 lbs 7 ounces. I dont have any pictures of him as of yet, but soon. The have not yet picked out a name yet either. I voted for Obi-Wan Kenobi Green. (kidding) The doctor was going to release them to come home today (Saturday) but they decided to stay until tomorrow. Congradulation's to Pete and Sandy and welcome new baby boy.
The title says two babies...hmmmm. Its true, I do have some news to share...
Rydel and I just got a new baby...here is a pic...
Isnt she beautiful?!?
