Denver for the 4th of July weekend was great! Rydel flew out earlier so the kiddos and I were alone for the flight. Our plane was delayed 2 1/2 hours and we had to circle Denver airport for an extra 45 minutes. So, when we finally arrived the kids were glad to get out and run around and I was exhausted. When we got there, we went to a BBQ with some people that my husband works with when he works in Denver. Yummy food...gotta love BBQ's.
The next day we walked about 3 miles to take the kid's to REI which has a rock climbing wall in it. Well, whatdoyaknow, after all that walking, the rock climbing wall was closed. So, we noticed the aquarium was just down the road so we walked just a little further. Here are some pics.
This is my 3 kiddos hanging out with the fishies.
Kid #1 and kid #2 checking out some sharks.
Kid #3 preparing to go diving.
That night we went to the Colorado Rockies Baseball game. It was great and the Rockies won. They were playing the Arizona Diamondbacks. The kids had a blast, even little Kid #3 loved it. Then after the game came the fireworks. If you know me, you know how much I love fireworks. The display was the best I have ever seen. Soooo good.
The three boys watching the game with a friend.
Little one watching the game with her daddy.
The next day was the zoo..
On Sunday, we thought we would be all spiritual and go to Elich Gardens. Its a theme park. The have tons of water rides and good roller coasters.
They boys on the mini swing ride.
The girls on the mini air balloon ride.
Little one on the carousel...isnt she beautiful!!!
On Monday, Rydel had to work so I took the kids to the movies and we saw Ice Age 3. Good movie, expensive theater. Never go to a theater in down town Denver...10.50 matinee prices. Ouch. Anyway, the trip was a blast and I have a feeling we will be doing it next 4th of July too!
